Angel Reese had a dominant week for the Tigers with two double-doubles to reach 40 double-doubles at LSU. She began the week with a 21 point and 11 rebound effort against McNeese, also adding a career-high 6 steals. In the 133-44 victory, LSU set program records for points scored and margin of victory. She followed up that performance with a 25 point and 14 rebound game in LSU's win over Northwestern State, her 40th double-double in a LSU uniform and sixth of the year. She averaged 23 points, 12.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 4.5 steals on the week.

Jessika Carter averaged 17.0 points, 15.5 rebounds, 4.5 blocks and 2.0 assists in 34.5 minutes per game over Mississippi State's two contests last week. She has now turned in three-straight double-doubles since her return to the lineup - the second time in her career that she has recorded three-straight double doubles. Her now 33 career double doubles remain second among all active SEC players. Carter finished with 17 points, 13 rebounds and tied a career-high six blocks in an 81-63 road win over Memphis on Dec. 17. The six blocks mark a Mississippi State individual season high and the second most blocks in a single game in the SEC this season. Prior to her most recent performance, Carter recorded 17 points and 18 rebounds - 11 of which were offensive rebounds - while all 40 minutes for the second time in her career in an 82-72 home win over Jackson State on Dec. 14. The 18 rebounds are also a Mississippi State individual season high. She has now led the team in blocks in seven games and has scored in double figures in all but one of her ten games played this season.

Mikaylah Williams continued to show why she is one of the nation's top freshmen in LSU's two victories this week. She helped propel LSU to a 133-44 win over McNeese as the Tigers set program records in points scored and margin of victory. She was an efficient 11-15 from the field to finish with 26 points, her fourth game this year with over 20 points. She also had a career-high 6 assists with no turnovers. In LSU's win over Northwestern State, Williams finished with 14 points. Following Sunday, Williams has made her past 30 free throw attempts. For the week she averaged 20 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.5 steals while shooting 15-of-29 (.517). She went 4-of-10 (.400) from the arc and a perfect 6-of-6 from the charity line. Williams currently ranks inside the top-10 in the SEC in scoring (4th), field goal percentage (6th), free throw percentage (1st), 3-point field goal percentage (2nd) and made threes (4th).
