SEC Championship Clear Bag Policy
Reminder: Clear bag policy in place for SEC Football Championship; Mobile tickets required.
Fans attending the 2023 SEC Football Championship in Atlanta are reminded that they will be asked to enter the event with clear bags and must have a mobile ticket for admission to Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The game will be held on December 2 with kickoff set for approximately 4 PM ET.
The SEC strongly encourages fans not to bring any type of bags to the event, but bags must be clear or otherwise a small clutch bag to be allowed into the stadium. All fans must be in possession of a mobile ticket on their phone or handheld device for admission to the game.
Stadium gates will open 2.5 hours prior to kickoff on game day to accommodate early arriving fans.
Bags must satisfy the guidelines below in order to be taken into SEC Championship events:
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12"
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)
- Small clutch bags, no larger than 4.5" x 6.5", with or without a handle or strap
- An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: purses larger than a small clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size (12" x 6" x 12").
Bags will be monitored at a secondary security perimeter set up around Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and law enforcement presence and K-9 patrols will be prevalent throughout the area.
The Mobile Locker Company will provide lockers outside Gates 1 and 2 for fans who want to rent a locker to store items. Lockers will be available for rental 2.5 hours prior to the start of the game and 1.5 hours post-game. Items must be retrieved from the lockers on the same day. Fans can visit www.themobilelockerco.com for more information on The Mobile Locker Company.
Items that are typically carried in diaper or baby bags must be carried in a clear bag that meets the standards of the bag policy.
Fans may still bring items such as binoculars and cameras (with lens less than 4 inches in length), provided they are not in cases, as well as smart phones into the stadium.
Working personnel, including media, will continue to enter the stadium through designated gates where they will be subject to screening and bag inspections.
The SEC is encouraging fans to arrive early and leave any unnecessary items at home. Fans who bring any bag into the stadium should allow for extra time for bag search.
