Men's Runner of the Week
Baylor Franklin, Ole Miss
Franklin, set the NCAA lead in the men's 800-meter, winning the event at the Vanderbilt Invitational at an indoor career-best 1:46.74. Along with teammate Tiarnan Crorken (1:47.39), the tandem set the NCAA's top-two times this season. It was the second-fastest time by a Rebel men's runner indoors, trailing only national champion George Kersh's 1:46.19 from the 1991 NCAA Indoor Championships.
Men's Field Athlete of the Week
Dontavious Hill, Auburn
Hill, won the high jump at the Vanderbilt Invite setting a new indoor personal best mark. On his second attempt at the height, Hill cleared 2.21m/7-3 for the No. 2 mark in the NCAA and the No. 4 performer in Auburn history. Hill's performance helped the Auburn men's team to rank No. 6 nationally and No. 1 regionally in the most recent USTFCCA poll.
Men's Freshman of the Week
Jordan Anthony, Kentucky
Anthony, won the 60-meter dash at the Red Raider Open with a time of 6.55 seconds, breaking his own Kentucky freshman record that he set a week ago. It is No. 2 in school history, a mere 0.01 from the standard set by UK Olympian Tim Harden. Anthony is ranked No. 4 in the NCAA in the 60m.
Women's Runner of the Week
Masai Russell, Kentucky
Russell, set the collegiate record in the 60-meter hurdles at the Red Raider Open with a scintillating time of 7.75 seconds, eclipsing the mark of 7.78 set by Grace Stark of Florida at the 2022 NCAA Championships and Brianna Rollins of Clemson in 2013. Russell also moved past the Kentucky record owned by eventual Olympic medalist Keni Harrison, who posted a 7.87 winning time in the 2015 NCAA Championships.
Women's Field Athlete of the Week
Jasmine Mitchell, Ole Miss
Mitchell, won the shot put by two feet at the Vanderbilt Invitational, launching a two-foot PR of 17.42m/57-2. She currently leads the SEC and ranks No. 3 in the NCAA in the shot put, as well as No. 8 in the world and No. 4 in the United States this year indoors. Mitchell also finished runner-up in the weight throw at a season-best 24.06m/78-11.25, improving on her spot in No. 2 in both the SEC and NCAA behind teammate Jalani Davis.
Women's Freshman of the Week
Kaila Jackson, Georgia
Jackson, after opening with the 400m in the first meet, ran the first collegiate 200m of her career and finished in a converted 23.45 for altitude. This is the fastest freshman finish this year and ranks 14th on the national list. Jackson's time ranks No. 5 in school history.
