Florida takes lead at SEC Women's Golf Championship
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-- Eighth-ranked Florida fired an 8-under 280 Saturday to claim the lead on the second day of the SEC Women's Golf Championship at Greystone's Legacy Course.
The Gators (564) hold a five-stroke lead over No. 6 Georgia (282-569), while No. 13 Arkansas (287-570) stands third. Florida entered the day in third, just two shots off the lead.
No. 20 Texas A&M (290-572) is in fourth, followed by Tennessee (286-573), No. 11 South Carolina (290-576), No. 1 Alabama (285-580), LSU (292-586), Kentucky (296-587), and Vanderbilt (302-589) to round out the top-10. Ole Miss (295-591) is in 11th, followed by Mississippi State (300-595), Missouri (295-597) and Auburn (297-597).
Individually, Georgia's Harang Lee leads with an 8-under 136 after her second round 67. She is a shot ahead of Tennessee's Anna Newell (68-137). Florida's Maria Torres (68-138) and South Carolina's Katelyn Dambaugh (70-138) are tied for third. Four players stand in a tie for fifth at 4-under 140.
