Dungee leads Arkansas to second-round win over UGA
GREENVILLE, S.C. -- No. 10 seed Arkansas advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2019 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament with an 86-76 victory over No. 7 seed Georgia.
Sophomore Chelsea Dungee led all scorers with 31 points for the Razorbacks, who finished with five players in double figures. Senior Caliya Robinson set the pace for the Lady Bulldogs with 19 points.
The Razorbacks dominated the second quarter to build a comfortable 48-35 halftime lead.
Dungee led Arkansas with 15 points in the first half, as the Hogs shot a sweltering 60 percent from the floor in the opening two quarters. Robinson had 11 for Georgia, which was limited to 42 percent shooting, including 2-of-13 from 3-point range, before the break.
The Lady Bulldogs trimmed the lead to single digits midway through the fourth quarter, but they could not string together enough stops to close the gap.
