The 12-seed Wildcats fired on all cylinders to continue their miraculous SEC Tournament run, defeating 4-seed LSU, 7-2. 

Pitcher Tyler Bosma was the main storyline as he threw a no-hitter through the first six innings, which is the longest no-hit bid by a Kentucky pitcher this season. He finished the game with 10 strikeouts and only one hit allowed.

Kentucky started off hot with two runs scored in the first inning, and then Jacob Plastiak drilled a homer in the second to take an early 3-0 lead. The Wildcats added another two runs in fourth inning and then Adam Fogel sent a solo homer in the fifth. Hunter Jump drove in one more score in the fifth and gave Kentucky a comfortable 7-1 lead heading into the sixth. 

Following a scary injury moment with John Thrasher in the top of the seventh, the Tigers got their first hit of the game and they drove in two runs. 

Daniel Harper came in to finish on the mound for the Wildcats and he stopped the bleeding by holding the Tigers scoreless for the remainder of the game. 

Since the current SEC Tournament format was adopted in 2013, the Wildcats are making their second appearance in the semifinals and they are the lowest seed to do it.
