Texas A&M head coach Trelle McCombs told her team all week long, "trust the coaches spots and we will put you in the right positions."

The players trusted, the coaches delivered and the Aggies head back to College Station as the 2015 SEC Women's Golf champion. The Aggies shot 7-under on Sunday to finish the championships at 13-under, good enough for a 12-stroke victory at the Greystone Golf and Country Club in Hoover, Alabama.

In addition to the team title, sophomore Bianca Fabrizio claimed the individual title with a three-day total of 9-under 207, two strokes in front of teammate, freshman Maddie Szeryk at 7-under.

For the second time in three days, weather effected play as start times were pushed back and then there was a 55-minute delay during the round due to weather. It was the way A&M came out after the delay that sealed the victory. The Aggies held a three-stroke lead over the hard charging Gamecocks from South Carolina. After the delay however, A&M kicked it into another gear.

The Aggies dominated holes 15-17 on Sunday finishing 6-under. South Carolina went without a birdie during that stretch and could never catch up.

Texas A&M also played nearly impeccable on the par-3's. They finished with a 2.95 scoring average and 3-under throughout the championships, playing the par-3's eight strokes better than any other team.

It marked the fourth year in a row that a team as swept the team and individual titles. On a roster that includes two top-25 players n the country, it came from a rather unlikely source.

Sophomore Bianca Fabrizio.

In order to truly appreciate the maturation of Fabrizio, we only need to look at how she performed last year in the championships. She finished 68 out of 70 golfers and was 31-over. She had two rounds in the 80's and her low round was a 75.

This year, Fabrizio sandwiched a 67 in-between two 70's. Last year she had four birdies the entire championship. This year she tied for the championship high with 13.

Her three round total of 207 was her lowest of the year by seven strokes.

Fabrizio was in a three-way tie on top of the leaderboard at 6-under heading into her last three holes and came through in the biggest of ways on the biggest of stages as she birdied all three.

The win is her first since finishing first at the Florida State Matchup in early spring.

Vanderbilt's Kendall Martindale had the low score on the day with a 67. It was good enough to jump her into a tie for second place after a three round total of 2-under 214. She finished her round with six birdies and a bogey. She nearly matched her birdie total for the first two rounds (seven), on Sunday. For Martindale, it was a bit of a rebound after struggling in her last three matches. It had been since February since she carded a round in the 60's before Sunday. It was also her first top-10 finish since the UCF Challenge in February. Her 67 was tied for the second-lowest round of the tournament.
