HOOVER, Ala. -- The No. 11 seed Alabama Crimson Tide topped No. 7 seed Missouri 4-3 in the third round of the 2015 SEC Baseball Tournament, ending the Tigers' run in the tournament.

Alabama took an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first and held the advantage until Missouri pulled out in front in the fifth. The Crimson Tide evened the score in the next inning and Alabama's Will Haynie hit a solo homer in the seventh for the go-ahead run.

"He [Missouri pitcher Tanner Houck] kind of got it on my hands the previous two at-bats so I backed off the plate and I knew he was going to attack with fastballs," said Haynie. "I got a good pitch up in the zone and put a good swing on it."

Casey Hughston hit a double to score Mikey White for Alabama's first run. The Crimson Tide's lead held until Missouri's Brett Peel hit a double to bring two runs home in the fifth. In the sixth the Tigers increased their lead on a two-out RBI single by Trey Harris. Alabama responded by tying the game on a 2-RBI hit by Cody Henry in the bottom of the inning and then taking the lead in the seventh.

"We've been in a lot of these situations, tournament and regional games, and it's really about having energy," said Alabama head coach Mitch Gaspard. "It's easy to come out today after both teams lose tough games yesterday with low energy. I feel like we came out with good energy today. We're fortunate to keep going and have another day in front of us."

Taylor Guilbeau (3-6) pitched 7.0 innings for Alabama, allowing six hits and three runs, with four strikeouts and three walks. Thomas Burrows earned his team-high seventh save with two strikeouts and a fly out in the ninth. In 8.0 innings of work Missouri freshman Tanner Houck (8-5) struck out eight, giving up four runs on six hits.

The Crimson Tide improved to 32-27 while the Tigers fell to 30-28 on the season.

Alabama plays in another elimination game tomorrow at 4:00 p.m. ET/3:00 p.m. CT on SEC Network, facing the loser of the Vanderbilt-Texas A&M matchup.
